Ultimate Elixir

A little mix I concocted for sore throats, but it also helps relief colds, coughs, fevers, and works as an immune booster.

Ingredients

  • Boil hot water 500ml
  • 5-10 Mint leaves (or brew peppermint tea 100ml)
  • Peel ginger and chop
  • 1 tsp of tumeric powder (or fresh turmeric chopped)
  • Dash of cayenne pepper or 1 red chili – sliced
  • 5ml of virgin coconut oil (VCO)
  • 20ml of apple cider vinegar (ACV)
  • 10ml of freshly squeezed calamansi or lemon juice (citrus juice)
  • 7.5ml of honey

Preparation Process

  1. Grab a mug
  2. Put dry ingredients first (ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper/chili)
  3. Pour hot water and mix the mint brew
  4. Stir until turmeric has turned the water into an orange shade
  5. Pour and mix the VCO, ACV, and citrus juice
  6. Honey goes in last and add more if necessary
  7. Best drunk while hot or warm (before all steam is gone)

* Tip:
Always start with dry ingredients.
